Several options are available to students who wish to remain in Canada permanently after completing your English studies, post-secondary education and post-graduation work experience in Canada.
Global Village Pathway students who proceed to post-secondary diploma or degree programs at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada may qualify for a post-graduate work permit (PGWP). The PGWP provides students with the opportunity to gain international experience, skills, and income upon graduation.
A variety of immigration pathways are available for international students to live permanently in Canada (PR), which require certain language skills and work experience.

A few more goodbyes this week, so a few more hugs and tears: welcome to Fridays at GV.
🎓 We said goodbye to Viridiana Rangel Coria – a lovely member of our GV5 class. She’ll be missed for her great smile and friendly demeanour to everyone. Best wishes back in Mexico Viri!!
🎓Valeria Alejandra Barton Aguilar graduated her pathway program today. She will be joining some of our other students and ex-students at Camosun college this fall. A hard worker and a super popular Peruvian, we are sure she will be successful at whatever she does.
🎓 Daiki Hijikata will be staying here in Victoria looking for work., so we hope he’ll drop by sometime to say hi to all his new friends.
🎓 Priska Gautschi will be returning to Switzerland where she will be beginning her studies in mechanical engineering in August.

🏃➡️🏃♀️➡️ By becoming a GV "Buddy", your child can explore Victoria, join fun activities, and connect with international students who are between 9 - 13 years old from various countries such as Japan, Korea, Mexico, and China.
🌏 Global Village is running an ESL summer camp on the beautiful St. Margaret’s Campus and we’re looking for mature, curious and outgoing “Buddies” to join
our campers on activities and excursions!
▫️DATES: July 28 to August 1 & August 4 to August 8, 2025
▫️HOURS: Monday to Friday, 11:30am to 4:30pm
▫️EXCURSIONS: Victoria Bug Zoo, Beacon Hill Children’s Farm, Miniature World,

▫️ACTIVITIES: Sports, Scavenger Hunts, Gymnasium Games, Arts & Crafts.
▫️COMMITMENT: Buddies must be able to commit to one or two full weeks.
▫️PAYMENT: Lunch daily as well as all activity/excursion transportation costs and
entrance/ participation fees will be covered.
💸 Buddies will also receive a thank you honorarium of $25 per day.

🤩It`s Graduation Day Again!🎊
🎓 Mario David Cabrales Fernandez left us. What a star! Not only did he study hard and bring a lot to the class, but David also took part in many activities here in Victoria – including a marathon!! We wish him all the best as he goes back to Colombia.
🎓 Vitoria Ramos de Paula finished after many weeks here. Even after graduating from her morning class, she continued with afternoon classes to see her friends, have fun and improve her language skills. We’ll miss her!
🎓Mayu Igarashi graduated from her morning class (GV7) and is continuing with her afternoon business classes to prepare for university in September. We’re glad she is not saying goodbye yet, as she has many, many friends here!
